Description

Ski resort Kanin is the only one in Slovenia where the skiing grounds extend above 2000m. The skiing season lasts from December until the 1st May holidays. Kanin is a true high-mountain ski resort, far above the tree-line in a real Alpine atmosphere. Due to the altitude the pistes seldom freeze and offer the pleasure of skiiing on dry snow during most of the winter. Another special feature of Kanin is its sunny position and magnificent view far into the heart of the Alps and towards the Mediterranean. When the visibility is good one can even count the ships in the Bay of Trieste. In the valley, on the opposite bank of the beautiful river Soca, only a short walk from Bovec, lies the village of Cezsoca.
